PY man charged with Larceny

On Saturday at approximately 5:49 pm the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Jacob M. Helton, age 32 of Old Bath Road in Penn Yan, following an investigation into the complaint of Larceny that occurred at the CVS Pharmacy.It is alleged that Helton entered the store and took containers of alcohol from the cooler and secluded them in a bag. Jacob then exited the store without paying for the alcohol.Helton was taken into custody and arraigned in the Village of Penn Yan Court and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $250 bail $500 bond. He is to reappear in the Village Court on July 13th at 5:00 pm.
