We took advantage of yesterday’s rain free and cloudless skies and traveled to Skaneateles, NY to attend the opening concert of Skaneateles’ Community band held in the gazebo right along the shores of Skaneateles Lake. But first we braved the long lines at Doug’s fish fry for our dinner. The village people long ago told Doug that his tiny ice cream business would fail, but from the long lines which extended outside onto the sidewalk and down the street, one shouldn’t pay too much attention to the advice of others when you have a good idea. The food is cooked right before your eyes and the cooks and the counter folks were really jumping last night.
