Newark man arrested twice for heroin in SF

On Wednesday at approximately 6:23 pm the Seneca Falls Police arrested Christopher L. Planty, age 26 of 513 West Union Street in Newark, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree. Planty was arrested after police received a complaint of a fight in progress on the Ludovico Sculpture Trail. While investigating the complaint, Planty was found to be in possession of heroin. He was arraigned in Town of Seneca Falls Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2500 bail/$5000 ins bond.Then Thursday morning at 10:15 am the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit Investigators arrested Christopher L. Planty on charges of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree and Promoting Prison Contraband in the Second Degree. The charges stem from an incident at the Seneca County Correctional Facility where Correctional Officers discovered Planty was attempting to conceal a quantity of heroin while being booked into the Correctional Facility. Correctional Officers located the heroin and he was subsequently charged. Planty is already remanded to the Correctional Facility on other charges and was issued an appearance ticket to appear in the Romulus Town Court on July 10 at 10 am.
