FLL 360: Reflections on Father’s Day

I don’t think that I can ever remember doing anything special on Father’s Day when I was growing up on a family farm out in Ohio. Life went on as usual – the cows had to be milked, the chickens fed, and the eggs gathered. Children were a part of the family economic unit and we were there not to just to occupy some space in the house or a seat at the family table. They (the children) had their chores to do just like their parents as the chickens needed to be fed and watered each day, the cows had to be brought into the barn from the pasture to be milked twice a day, and the barn and milking equipment needed to be cleaned after each milking.Read more at FLL 360
