Seneca Falls Farmers Market report for 6/17

No rain and sunshine. A perfect day to visit the Seneca Falls Farmers Market today from 9AM – 1:30PM! Come down to People’s Park in Seneca Falls and support local businesses and local agriculture! Local strawberries are so yummy right now! Come and get yours to eat fresh, make shortcake or jam or try a new recipe, available from the Seneca County CCE demonstration table. Free samples of strawberry rhubarb sauce! Also see a CCE nutrition educator show you ways to cook up fresh market veggies! Buy fresh produce, which includes greens, spinach, rhubarb, radishes, beets, beet greens, zucchini, broccoli and whatever else was ripe this morning in the local farmers garden! Other great local items are also available like honey, maple syrup, eggs, maple flavored popcorn, baked goods, grass fed beef, free range chicken, plants, jams and jellies and handmade items. Baked goods include homemade breads, sticky buns, whoopie pies, cupcakes (gluten free too!) and muffins. Come and meet the people who grow the food you buy! Market ends at 1:30 PM. Rain or shine!Come enjoy a meal in the shade at the picnic tables in the park. Two vendors will be serving lunch, featuring bbq chicken, chili, and hamburgers. Fresh ice tea and other cold drinks are also available. Or if you’re an early bird enjoy a breakfast sandwich and coffee!
