NWS confirms a tornado in Farmington

On Thursday afternoon, the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado damaged an Ontario County farm and cemetery Wednesday at about 9:50 pm. According to a NWS storm survey team an E-0 tornado touched down and traveled a half mile down Shorstville Road in Ontario County. Ranked on a scale of 0-5, a zero is considered the weakest kind of tornado, but winds still reached speeds of 60-70 miles per hour.
