Geneva Antique Co-op is BID business of the month

Under the joint Business of the Month Program between the Geneva Business Improvement District and the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce Chamber, the Geneva BID has named the Geneva Antique Co-op as May’s honoree. The Geneva Antique Co-op has been in business in downtown Geneva since 2005. January marked the Co-op’s 10 year Anniversary under the ownership and direction of Doug Zeck and Mike Dorrington. The two maintain the organization with the help of 2-3 other staff that are happy to assist customers in finding anything it is they are searching for. This 6,000 square foot, two floor property features collectibles from over seventy dealers in the area. Upon entering the building customers can immediately begin browsing a number of antique goods from furniture, to old wooden crates and small glass figurines. In addition, there are military pieces, books, glassware, and jewelry, but that barely scratches the surface of what is available at the Co-op. Items are placed in booths and cases that coordinate with which dealer the items came from. The front windows display a variety of antiques and collectibles drawing in a number of people visiting the area, while the Co-Op also continues to embrace a very loyal customer base. The Antique Co-op also values their involvement in the community by donating to various events and supporting local causes. The Antique Co-op specializes in buying, selling, and trading anything from single items to entire estates. Stop in and search through galleries of over 50 cases and more than 36 booths. “The Co-op carries every kind of antique and collectible you could think of. It’s a great place to find a bit of history, and hopefully take home that piece you’ve always been looking for. We appreciate their presence in the district and everything they have to offer,” commented Amanda Airth, Executive Assistant at the BID. The Co-op is home to over 70 dealers that become more like family in an environment that brings the old back to life. This resonates with customers as they browse items in nostalgia. The Geneva Antique Co-op is located at 473 Exchange Street in downtown Geneva.
