Seneca Co. Chamber honors Bill Cram Chevrolet

The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce and Hampton Inn-Seneca Falls are pleased to announce that Bill Cram Chevrolet has been selected as the May 2015 Business of the Month. Coincidently, the month of May also marks an important anniversary for the local Seneca Falls car dealership – as Bill Cram Chevrolet celebrates 46 years of business. In 1969, William Cram started Bill Cram Chevrolet by purchasing the Hallman dealership (on the site that is currently known as Avicolli’s Restaurant). After a few years in business, the growing dealership was expanded and relocated to its present location on Routes 5 & 20. In 2012, the dealership went through an extensive transformation. Daughter Amy Cram took over the family business, becoming the dealer principle for Bill Cram Chevrolet. In addition, the dealership underwent another major renovation and expansion, adding: a new showroom, new sales department and parts department, drive-through service line, business offices and additional parking for potential customers. The expansion also resulted in the growth of the dealership’s full-time workforce to 43 full-time employees as well as being awarded the General Motors “Mark of Excellence” honor.When it comes to giving back to the local community, Bill Cram Chevrolet’s willingness to aid local organizations goes above and beyond. Among the numerous charitable endeavors include: community little leagues, Seneca County House of Concern, the United Way, Habitat for Humanity, Beverly Animal Shelter, Seneca Falls Rotary, Smith Opera House, Camp Onseyawa and the Boys and Girls Club of Geneva.Several events have been scheduled throughout the month to commemorate the 46- year anniversary of Bill Cram Chevrolet. On Saturday May 30th, “Cramily Fun Days” will feature specials, live radio remotes and a live performance by Cliff McCann. In addition, “Tics for the Big 46” are on sale for the May 31st chicken barbeque in support of the Waterloo and Seneca Falls little league.
