On June 6 from 5:00 pm-9:00 pm, Linden Street in Geneva will be turned into a European street fair once again to host the second annual Rosé Soireé. Conceived as a way to showcase Finger Lakes Wineries and downtown Geneva, the Rosé Soireé aims to highlight the area’s award winning Dry Rosés along with picnic foods, street music, and a fun atmosphere. The Rosé Soireé will feature 22 of these local Rosé producers from across the Finger Lakes. Samples from these wineries will be available to ticket holders, who may then order their favorites by the glass or bottle throughout the remainder of the evening. During the Soireé, foods appropriate for Rosé will also be available from Red Dove Provisions, Joe’s Hots, FLX Catering, Normal Bread, and local cheese trails. The goal is to turn Linden Street into an European street market; complete with draped lights, rosé decorations, and local musicians playing all genres of music. Attendees will be encouraged to wear different shades of Rosé to complete the look, as they relax with friends and family over their local picnic and wine. Tickets are $18.00 at the door, $15.00 in advance, and are available for purchase at Microclimate or online from www.fingerlakesrose.com. Tickets will entitle each visitor to six tastings as well as a wine glass donated by Microclimate. As a project of Geneva Community Projects, and in keeping with the organizers’ pride in their local community, the monies profited from this event are earmarked to benefit several arts and community organizations in Geneva. With a wealth of local sponsors, the hope is that the Rosé Soireé will both celebrate and significantly support the local community.
