SF School event will bring increased traffic/congestion

On Saturday May 23 the Seneca Falls Central School District will be hosting a multi-school district Track and Field event. This event will bring around 25 schools from all over the Finger Lakes region. During this time there will be increased traffic flow with both school buses, and passenger vehicles. Congestion may be an issue during arrival and departure times, residents and people attending the event are encouraged to plan accordingly. School districts will begin arriving around 8:00 am and the event will continue until around 4:00 pm. The Seneca Falls Police Department has placed temporary no parking signs on several of the streets near the school including; Troy Street, Tyre Ave, Porter Street, Boston Ave, Butler Ave, and State Street. The no parking zones will be enforced, the purpose of this is for increased traffic flow and reduced congestion. There will be adequate parking, people attending the event will be directed to the closest parking available.
