Seneca Chamber’s New Hire: Destination Marketing Manager

The Seneca County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Richard Newman has joined the organization as its Destination Marketing Manager. Richard, originally from Cortland, NY holds a Bachelors of Science degree in business administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship from Keuka College. Richard comes to the Chamber from Greek Peak Mountain Resort, where he previously served on the sales and marketing team and was charged with promoting the resort and generating new business. Richard currently lives in Seneca Falls, NY. “We are excited to welcome Richard to the Seneca County Chamber team,” said Chamber President Jeff Shipley. “His passion for the area along with his hospitality experience will serve our community well as we continue to position this area as a premier destination to live, work and play.” In his role, Richard will be responsible for efforts that include developing innovative, strategic marketing programs to promote the tourism assets of our community as well as helping position it as a destination to do business and generate economic benefits. He will work together with the Chamber staff to identify, and implement new programs to increase interaction and involvement with community and visitor stakeholders. He will also work with state and regional partners to create dynamic synergies that help raise awareness of our local tourism assets. Richard will also be the staff liaison for the Chamber’s Tourism Committee.
