On Thursday May 7th at approximately 10:22 PM the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Joseph N. Brown, age 25 with no permanent address, for Criminal Contempt 1st, a class E Felony. The arrest stems from a complaint received that Brown made contact with a Town of Seneca Falls resident which an active Order of Protection was in place between the two parties. Due to Brown having a prior conviction of Criminal Contempt 1st in the proceeding five years, the charge was elevated to a Felony. Brown was arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2500 cash / $5,000 bond. Brown is scheduled to appear at the Town of Seneca Falls Court on May 14 to answer the charge.
