On Monday shortly before noon, Seneca Falls Police responded to a house fire at 54 Green Street in the Town of Seneca Falls. Upon arrival, there was heavy smoke and flames coming from the upstairs of the residence.The home owner, Kimberly Russ, and her two children who were home at the time of the fire were able to exit the home without injury. The family dog was also removed from the home uninjured.The fire was quickly extinguished by the Seneca Falls Fire Department who were assisted at the scene by Waterloo Fire Dept, Fayette Fire Dept, Border City Fire Dept and Cayuga Fire Dept. North Seneca Ambulance, NYSEG, American Red Cross, Beverly’s Animal Shelter, and Seneca County Code Enforcement also assisted at the scene.Cause of the fire is still under investigation. House sustained extensive damage and was uninsured.
