Grand larceny & welfare fraud charges for Waterloo woman

On April 27, 2015 at 4 pm Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Sarah J. Mathews age 32 of 989 Waterloo Geneva Road for Grand Larceny 4th, Welfare Fraud 4th, and Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st. All three charges are class E felony’s. It is alleged that during 2014 Mathews received benefits from the Department of Social Services that she was not entitled to in excess of $1,000.00. It is further alleged that Mathews also filed false documents to receive the benefits. Mathews was arraigned before Town of Fayette Justice Sapio and ROR’ed to appear in Waterloo Village Court on May 6th at 9 am.
