George Frederic Handel’s Messiah is one of my favorite musical pieces and is frequently preformed around Christmas time and Easter time. In Part II, Handel concentrates on the Passion and ends with the Hallelujah Chorus. In Part III he covers the resurrection of the dead and Christ’s Glorification in heaven.We all have been anxiously awaiting the end of winter and the resurrection of all of the “dead” grass, spring flowers, and trees. And as I gazed at the front of my house, I couldn’t help but think of Handel’s Messiah and the Hallelujah Spring Chorus that was being performed by all of the Easter flowers that I had planted last fall. Just yesterday the chorus of daffodils was joined by the tulips.- Read more at FLL 360.
