State Police Investigator George Grbic tells Finger Lakes News Radio the body of 85 year old John Soscia Jr. was pulled from the Seneca Cayuga Canal at 7:30 this morning. Reports state that Soscia was last seen fishing off a pier at the Inland Harbor Marina on Waterloo Geneva Road around 5:30 Tuesday afternoon.An autopsy was performed at Geneva General Hospital this afternoon. The results of the autopsy are still pending, but there is no indication of foul play.Investigator Grbic tells Finger Lakes Times “At this point, it appears to be an accidental death.” The State Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Border City Fire Department.
