Waterloo First Presbyterian to host dinner and jazz

The First Presbyterian Church will host its second annual ziti dinner and jazz evening on Saturday, May 16th. Dinner will be served from 5-6:30 pm with the concert at 7:00 pm.The Waterloo High School Jazz Band “Fusion” will again perform in the church sanctuary at 42 Main Street in Waterloo. “The church is delighted to have the 15 member “Fusion” band join them for the 2nd time,” said chair Jude Hollowell. “We are honored to have such a talented group of young musicians in our community.”Following will be a delicious Italian Ziti/Meatball meal with desert in the church social hall and everyone is welcome to join the festivities.People enjoyed the ziti dinner at the First Presbyterian Church last year.Tickets for dinner are $8 for adults, $5 for students, with dinner proceeds going to the church Capital Campaign Fund. Take-outs are available. The concert is free and there will be a free will offering taken. This money will go to the Waterloo High School Music Boosters.First Presbyterian Church is conducting a Capital Campaign to restore and preserve the historic building that will celebrate its 200th anniversary in 2017. Donations may be sent to First Presbyterian Church, 42 Main Street in Waterloo. The public is invited to Sunday services weekly at 10 am.
