The Waterloo Police Department reports that on Thursday at 01:04 am Julia M Stoffel, age 23 of 41 West River Street in Waterloo, was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving with .08 of 1% or more of alcohol, backing unsafely, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.The arrest stems from an incident in the Village of Waterloo involving Stoffel leaving the scene of a property damage accident. While Officer’s were on scene investigating the accident Stoffel was observed driving by the scene. A traffic stop was conducted and it was determined Stoffel was operating the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.Stoffel was arrested and issued traffic tickets for the above charges. Stoffel was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in the Village of Waterloo Court on a later date to answer to the charges.
