City Shade Tree Com. to plant trees in Geneva

The City of Geneva’s Shade Tree Committee is pleased to announce that Brook Street Park will receive four more trees this year in honor of Arbor Day.”Each generation takes the earth as trustees,” said J. Sterling Morton, the founder of Arbor Day, in 1872.On April 24th at 10:30 am the whole community is invited to celebrate this National Holiday with the planting of two Thundercloud cherry plum trees and two Yoshino cherry trees.Prior to the planting, there will be a short program for children that will be done in collaboration with Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
