Fire has heavily damaged the apartment building at 406 Stewart Avenue and a landmark pub, the Chapter House next door, in Ithaca on Tuesday morning. The fire started shortly after 4:00 am Tuesday. No injuries have been reported. One person was initially listed as unaccounted for, however officials have learned the person is out of the country. Several individuals have been evacuated. Another nearby apartment, at 408 Stewart Ave., was also evacuated and was being cleared for smoke.
