The 4-H program of Cornell Cooperative Extension-Yates County will hold an introductory forestry workshop on April 19th from 2:00-5:00 PM. Volunteer Master Forest Owners, trained through Cornell University, will lead participants through their woodlot near Branchport to explore wildlife habitat, learn about tree identification, and consider uses of different wood and forest plants. The cost is $2 per youth. It is open to all youth ages 5 to 18 and parents or guardians are welcome to stay. Ages 5 to 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
