One airlifted after Waterloo school bus crash

The Waterloo Village Police Department reports that on Wednesday morning at approximately 6:54 am, officers responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident involving a school bus and passenger car on North Road in the Village of Waterloo. There were no children on the school bus at the time of the accident.The driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to Geneva General Hospital by North Seneca Ambulance, then flown to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight.The driver of the school bus was transported by Finger Lakes Ambulance to Geneva General Hospital for an evaluation.North Road was closed for several hours while officers conducted the investigation. The Waterloo Village Police Department was assisted by Seneca County Sheriff’s Accident Reconstruction Investigators, New York State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, and the Waterloo Fire Department.The investigation of this accident is ongoing.
