The North Rose-Wolcott Cougars dropped the Section V Class B2 championship game to Wellsville on Sunday afternoon by a score of 52-36. It was Wellsville’s first Sectional title since 2010. For NR-W it has been since 1943.It was perhaps the worst shooting performance of the season for the Cougars who shot just 25% for the game, 14-55, in the loss.Connor Pendleton was one of the only NR-W players to produce on the afternoon scoring 15 of the Cougars’ 36 total points. Pendleton also pulled down 11 rebounds. Senior big man Jacob Stephenson ended up with 8 points and 7 rebounds while Garrett Hoyt scored just 6 points. Sophomore stand-out Tyler Norris struggled to find his offense and finished with just 2 points on 1 of 10 shooting.Wellsville was led by Liam Ebertwho scored 16 points and dished out 7 assists, Jordan Wonderling and Richie Ewell has 12 each for the Lions.You can watch the full gamecast replay from FL1 Sports below…
