Ithaca, NY – Performers, food vendors, and volunteers who are looking to become involved in Ithaca Festival, as well as community members who are curious about what the organization does when it isn’t putting on the festival or have ideas about how to make Ithaca Festival even better are invited to meet the people who put on Ithaca Festival. The organization has hired new staff members, accepted new board members, and is excited to share new visions for the festival and its role in Ithaca at an upcoming event.Meet the People of Ithaca FestivalWho: The entire communityWhat: A casual meeting of the people behind Ithaca FestivalWhen: Thursday, March 12, 6-8 pmWhere: Southside Community Center gymnasium, 305 South Plain St.Why: To meet the Ithaca Festival staff and board; sign up to be a performer, food vendor, or volunteer; register your community group or business to be in the Ithaca Festival Parade; and share ideas about the festival and how it can best serve the Ithaca communityAll are welcome to this event, including children and people new to Ithaca or Ithaca Festival.About Ithaca FestivalIthaca Festival, Inc. is a small, independent 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is “Celebrating the artist in everyone and supporting art in the community.”Ithaca Festival has recently hired five new staff members, including Assistant Director McKenzie Jones Rounds, Sponsorship Coordinator Eddie Moran, Volunteer Coordinator Jimmy Lau, Program Coordinator Jennifer Forbes, and Food and Fire Safety Coordinator Nikki Sayward. This is Danielle Klock’s second year as Executive Director. The organization is seeking a Merchandise Coordinator and currently accepting applications for performers, craft vendors, food vendors, volunteers, and parade participants.
