Careful blending and site selection was taken on in picking and piecing together the tremendous crop during the the 2013 harvest. All of Hosmer wines are 100% estate grown and our vineyards produce unique flavors and aromas for each variety that is reflected in the finesse and finish of the wines. It is incredibly rewarding to see the hard work and effort culminate into an understood appreciation.” says Hosmer Winery winemaker Aaron Roisen. Initially a grape farm, with plantings from the early 1970s, Hosmer Winery was established in 1986 on the west bank of Cayuga Lake on the principle that great wines start in the vineyard. We farm 70 acres of 14 different grape varieties on the family estate. Primarily vinifera, our vines are 25-30+ years old growing on deep Cazenovian soils. The quality of wine that is captured in our bottles is a direct product of our pristine vineyards and thoughtful growing practices. As a full estate winery, we are able to insure the quality of every grape, from the roots to your glass.
