The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Wednesday at 5:38 pm Deputies arrested Michael D. Seager, age 18 of McGraw, NY on an arrest warrant for forgery in the third degree (class a misdemeanor) and petit larceny (class a misdemeanor). This incident stems from an investigation alleging that Seager took a blank signed check, belonging to an Ovid resident, and completed filling out the check for the amount of $300.00. Seager then endorsed and cashed said check knowing he had no legal right to do so. Seager was arraigned in the Town of Covert Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500.00 cash // $1000.00 secured bond. He is to appear in the Town of Ovid Court 04/21/15 at 10:00 am to answer to his charges.
