With our harsh winter, it has been a real warm spot to view the varying birds that come to feeders. Here are a few that have recently visited Laurie Dirkx’s feeder in Ontario. She feeds a mixture of varying seeds, nuts, dried fruits, homemade suet, and a source of water that has a de-icer so the water never freezes – all in hope she can somehow ease the winter for them. Even the deer and cottontail rabbits have been coming in to forage and drink, too.
