911 pocket dial leads to Watkins Glen drinking party

Around 3:14 am on Sunday the Schuyler County 911 Center received an open 911 call. Dispatchers could hear commotion in the background but no one would answer the dispatcher. Dispatchers were able to trace the phone and Schuyler Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to 2940 Townsend Road in Watkins Glen.Upon arrival deputies located an underage drinking party and determined that the host had accidentally dialed 911 in his pocket. All minors that were in possession of alcohol were arrested and issued appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Dix Court at a later date.The Sheriff’s Office is still searching for the party or parties who provided alcohol.
