Snow pounds the region, prompts closings

Snow blanketed the region overnight and continues to fall through this morning. Today’s forecast calls for more snow. heavy at times and blown by northeast wins up to 20 mph. Additional accumulation is expected to be between 4 to 7 inches. Monday’s highs will only reach 10 to 15 degrees. Winds will shift out of the northwest later today creating the possibility of additional lake effect for some.The storm has prompted several local cancellations.
