On Saturday at approx. 3:03 am the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Samuel J. Belanger age 26 of 4440 Lakeshore Drive apartment 6 in Canandaigua following a traffic stop in the Town of Seneca Falls. Officer’s conducted a traffic stop after observing Belanger’s vehicle operating on a public highway with no headlights on. After conducting an interview and field sobriety tests, Belanger was determined to be operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. After further investigation, it was found that Belanger had a previous conviction for DWI within the past ten years. Belanger was processed and arraigned in the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of the Honorable Judge Lafler on the following UTT’s; No/Inadequate Lights, Felony Driving While Intoxicated, Felony Aggravated DWI-Blood Alcohol Content .18% or higher BAC, AUO 2nd due to his license being suspended for a prior DWI conviction, and operating a motor vehicle without an interlocking device. Belanger was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $3,000 cash/ $6,000 bail and is scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on 01/29/2015 to answer to the charges.
