The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Thursday at 9:29 am, Sheriff Deputies arrested Jason T. Haire, age 27 of 3730 Morgan Rd. Ovid. Haire was arrested on a warrant issued out of Ovid Town Court for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th.Deputies report that while investigating a shots fired complaint on Nov 30 2014, Haire was found to have a shotgun in his possession, and it was later determined that due to a previous conviction, Haire cannot legally possess a gun. Haire was located and detained in the city of Ithaca. He was transported back to Seneca County and arraigned at the Town of Covert Court.Haire was released on his own recognizance to reappear in the Town of Ovid Court on 02-17-15 at 10:00 am to answer to the charge.
