O’Mara confronted on Seneca Lake gas storage (video)

A wild video was published earlier this week by the Times Union, an Albany newspaper, that shows NYS Senator Tom O’Mara being secretly videotaped by an opponent of Crestwood’s proposed LPG gas storage facility near Watkins Glen in the Town of Reading. The confrontation occurred at night in mid-December while Senator O’Mara and his wife were sitting in a car at a gas station. The video below was secretly taken by the unidentified man who approached their vehicle.Warning: Some vulgar language towards the end of the video (NSFW-L)In a prepared statement, O’Mara said, “It’s regrettable that the exchange ultimately turned heated and, as an elected official, I regret the words and tone that were used,” the statement cited by the Times Union read in part. “I still don’t like the underhanded tactics, but I should know better.”
