South Seneca to host All-County Choral Festival

The All-County Choral Festival will be hosted at South Seneca Junior/Senior High School, on January 16th and January 17th. Participating districts include, Dryden, Groton, Ithaca, Lansing, South Seneca, and Trumansburg. The students who are selected to attend this year’s festival will work with two guest conductors during the festival weekend. The Middle School Guest Conductor is Mr. Michael Wahl. He currently teaches Choral Music in the Pittsford Central School District in Monroe County.The High School Guest Conductor is Douglas A. Avery, who retired from teaching Choral Music in June 2011 from Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls, where he taught for thirty-five years.All of the students’ work with the guest conductors will culminate in an open to the public, free concert on Saturday, January 17th at 2:00 p.m. at South Seneca Jr./Sr. High School in Ovid.
