The Red Creek Rams took sole possession of first place in Wayne County after overcoming a 10 points deficit at the end of the 3rd quarter to defeat North Rose-Wolcott 51-45 on Friday night in Red Creek.Red Creek was led by the newest member of the 1,000 point club, Jake Slobe, who did most of his damage from the charity stripe. Slobe made 13 of 14 free throws to finish with a team high 19 points. Zach Ferguson added 9 points in the win as Red Creek moves to 6-0.For the Cougars, Sophomore guard Tyler Norris led all scorers with 22 points while Garrett Hoyt pulled down 10 rebounds. It was the second loss in a row for NR-W who falls to 3-2 on season and 2-1 in the Wayne County League.Red Creek will go on the road next, at Gananda, on Tuesday night. NR-W will also be in action next on Tuesday at Clyde-Savannah.
