The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on 12/20/14 at 19:28 hrs Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Jeffery S. Gephart age 35 of 4958 State Route 414, Varick for Criminal Obstruction of breathing or blood circulation, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, Driving While Intoxicated and two counts Aggravated DWI – Child in vehicle (Leandras Law). This incident stems from a domestic dispute that occurred at 4958 State Route 414, Varick at approximately 5 pm. It is alleged that Gephart engaged in a verbal domestic with the victim which quickly lead to a physical domestic at which time Gephart choked the Victim in front of four children. The victim then left the scene with her two children and traveled to a neighbors residence on Rt 414 in Varick, where Sheriff’s Deputies were contacted and responded . While Deputies were at the second residence, Gephart arrived on scene and it was determined that Geph art was driving while intoxicated with his two children, both under the age of 15, in the back seat of his vehicle. Gephart was arraigned in the Town of Varick Court where he was released on his own recognizance. Gephart is to reappear in the Town of Varick Court on 01/28/15 at 7pm to answer to his charges. A class A order of protection for all victim’s.
