Three people were killed and two are injured following a three-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning just north of the Thruway exit on Route 14 and Bostwick Road in Phelps. State Police have released the names of the victims and the drivers involved. According to police, Richard Rhinevault, age 71, of Geneva ran a stop sign while traveling on Bostwick Road near Route 14, clipping a vehicle driven Tonya Jones, 33, of Wolcott. Jones’ vehicle traveled into the southbound lane and hit a pickup driven by Mary Heidenreich, 56, of Lyons. Heidenreich was killed, along with two passengers in the SUV: Robert Abbott, 77 and Kent Frazer, 51 of Lyons. Rhinevault was not hurt. Jones was taken to the hospital.
