Cathy Millspaugh, the Executive Director of the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail is proud to announce that we have been granted a $75,000 grant from the 4th round of Regional Economic Development Council awards from Governor Cuomo’s Program. “This is our second grant awarded to us”, says Cathy Milllspaugh, “our first one for $50,000 was part of a regional marketing program targeting the PA market while this second one will target an International market. We, the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail, are ecstatic to be able to work again with the Empire State Development in making this venture possible”.We will be launching an international, targeted social media advertising program in the US, France, Spain, Japan, United Kingdom and Canadian markets. The marketing campaign will include a multi-language diorama at the JFK airport and scrolling displays at the Syracuse Hancock Airport. In regards to destination marketing we will be producing a way-finding app and signage at each winery connected to a GPS locator through a QR code.”These are exciting technology times states, Cathy Millspaugh, and we as the first wine trail developed in the United States are proud to be able to engage with our visitors in a brand new way”.
