Sheriff David Gould reports the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, with funding from Enforcing the Underage Drinking Laws through the Central Region Prevention Resource Center, conducting a number of controlled alcohol attempts or buys throughout Cayuga County on Friday, November 28, 2014.Two teams were deployed consisting of local college students ranging in age from 18 to 20 accompanied by uniform and plain clothes members of the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol. These under-21 year old students would enter an establishment and attempt to purchase alcohol. If requested, they would provide their current NYS Driver’s License.Twelve (12) retail establishments and two (2) bar/restaurants were attempted and DID NOT serve after requesting ID.The following three (3) bar/restaurants were attempted which DID serve, resulting in a referral to the Liquor Authority and the listed arrests:Betty Blue, 76 W Cayuga Street, Moravia NYLisa M Brezee, Age 37 from Union Springs NYUnlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Penal Law 260.20 Class A MisdemeanorLake Como Inn, 1307 E Lake Road, Locke NYJennah Smith, Age 21 from Tully, NYUnlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Penal Law 260.20 Class A MisdemeanorCobblestone Inn, 537 Route 38, Locke NYBobby Jo Leonard, Age 42 from Groton NYUnlawfully Dealing with a Child 1st Penal Law 260.20 Class A MisdemeanorAnyone with information about these crimes is asked to contact Lieutenant Michael Wellauer at (315) 253-4373.
