Lively Run Dairy announces holiday recipe contest

Lively Run Dairy, based in Interlaken, N.Y., is now accepting chèvre recipe submissions through Facebook for its second annual Holiday Recipe Competition in which contestants have a chance to win free cheese and gift certificates for the Lively Run store. Local restaurants and businesses, as well as individuals, are all encouraged to participate in this festive and appetizing online event.The holiday recipe competition will be split into two categories: Individuals and Teams. The Individuals Category will consist of submissions from singular people, whereas the teams category includes restaurants, businesses, and other groups participating together to submit a recipe. Through this competition, Lively Run Dairy hopes to spike people’s appetite for cheese, delicious food, and connect with its community this holiday season.Submission ProcessContestants who wish to participate in the Holiday Recipe Competition must do the following prior to 6p.m. on Monday, December 8:‘Like’ the Lively Run Dairy Facebook pageFacebook Message or email Lively Run Dairy at [email protected] the recipe that includes Lively Run’s chèvre goat cheese as an ingredient, along with a picture of the contestant(s)Although it is optional, we strongly recommend contestants provide a picture of the completed recipe’s dish as wellHow to WinAfter the submission process is complete, Lively Run will post two photo albums on Facebook detailing the top recipes in each category. Then, Facebook users will ‘like’ their favorite recipe’s photo. After one week of voting, the recipe from each category with the most ‘likes’ will be deemed the winner.The PrizesIn the Individuals Category, the first place winner will receive a Lively Run cheese platter that includes Lively Run’s Lake Effect Cheddar, Cayuga Blue, Chèvre (flavor of choice) and Finger Lakes Gold. The cheese platter will be mailed to the winner on Wednesday, December 17. The first place winner in the Teams Category will win either 10 pounds of Lively Run’s Chèvre, or 1 wheel of Cayuga Blue.
