On Thanksgiving morning, Penn Yan police responded to the report of a vehicle on Liberty Street that struck a pole in front of Pizza Hut.Police report that Philip Rex, age 63 of Keuka Estates in Penn Yan, suffered a medical issue and lost consciousness and veered off the street, striking the sign post for the Pizza Hut restaurant on Liberty Street.Mr. Rex was transported by Penn Yan Ambulance to Soldiers and Sailors Hospital for treatment, then flown by Mercy Flight to Strong Hospital in Rochester.
