Winter storm could impact holiday travel

The biggest travel day of the year will be marred by a significant (but not even close to historic) winter storm. This nor’easter will ride up the east coast on Wednesday, spreading some heavy snow into areas south and east of the Finger Lakes. Here in central and western New York, we should see little to no snow for western areas and a couple inches further south and east.If you are traveling towards New England on Wednesday, be advised that travel will be difficult, especially in the afternoon and evening hours, when the storm will be at its peak. Areas further south will have their most intense part of the storm in the morning and midday hours. This storm will be quick moving, so Thanksgiving day looks fair across the region with just a few snow showers. The trip home should also be less active. Have a happy Thanksgiving! For the latest local forecast and live radar images visit the FingerLakes1.com FingerLakes1.com Local Weather Center.
