Geneva woman charged in September shooting

On Friday, the Geneva Police Department arrested Holly Lee Miller-Dewitt, age 30 of Cortland Street in Geneva, on an Ontario County Court Indictment warrant relating to a shooting incident that occurred on September 5, 2014.Miller-Dewitt was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (C FELONY) and Menacing in the Second Degree (A MISD) Subject was transported to Ontario County Court for Arraignment on the Indictment Warrant and transported to Ontario County Jail. Additional arrests forthcoming in this matter.ORIGINAL: 9.5.2014 @ around 6:30 pm in the area of Clark & E. North Streets, Geneva Police responded to the area for a report of “shots fired.” Upon further investigation and several witnesses it was revealed that a small caliber handgun had been discharged on Clark Street in the direct vicinity of a female and her unknown passenger while on the street changing a tire. It is believed that a disturbance occurred in that area that led to the shooting. Based upon evidence and blood available at the scene it is believed that one male was shot in the incident and fled the scene.
