The Red Jacket Indians varsity football team had run their record to 10-0 and taken their season into the NYS Class D Western Regional game against Randolph at All-High Stadium in Buffalo early Friday evening. Section 6’s Randolph would advance, handing Red Jacket their first loss and ending their season, 19-12.Snow fell throughout the evening as both teams primarily attacked with their running games. Red Jacket jumped out to an early 6-0 lead and led 12-7 in the third quarter but Randolph halfback Devyn Nelson would prove to be too much with 144 yards on the ground. 82 of them on one play that ended with Nelson in the endzone. Mason Bosley and Bryce Morrison each scored to round out the scoring for Randolph.For Red Jacket, Sean Sheets had 121 yards on 27 carries including a 58 yard touchdown scamper. Andrew Ogrodowski also had a 3-yard touchdown run. Red Jacket’s season ends with a Sectional Title and an outstanding record of 10-1.
