On Saturday morning at about 1:22 am, Penn Yan Village Police conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Penn Yan where the driver was identified as Alexander Pereq, age 24 of CLifton Springs. Perez was unable to produce any identification and after consulting with the IS Border Patrol, it was determined that Perez was in the country illegally.Perez was issued two traffic tickets and detained before being turned over to Border Patrol.
