Cool, wet weather will stick around all week

An area of low pressure will move into the region tonight on its way to the east coast, where it will stall out and bring more dismal weather to our region throughout the week.Today though, this low will be of some benefit. Warmer air is moving into areas south of the low. While parts of the eastern Finger Lakes were near or below freezing at 7am, 50s were moving into Michigan. This milder air should move in this afternoon, giving us seasonable high temperatures in the mid and upper 50s. There will be a few showers to dodge, especially later in the day, but all in all it should not be too bad of a day today.Showers will become more widespread overnight and linger through Tuesday as the low crosses our region. With the clouds and rain, temperatures will be a bit more mild tonight (mid and upper 40s), but will not rise much Tuesday (low and mid 50s).Wednesday looks mostly dry as the low moves to a position off the Mid Atlantic coast, but rain will return for Thursday and Friday as the low drifts north, stalls out and strengthens. Finally, by the weekend, the low will depart the region. For the latest local forecast and live radar images visit the FingerLakes1.com FingerLakes1.com Local Weather Center.
