On Tuesday afternoon at 2:13 pm, Penn Yan police arrested Matthew M. Stull, age 32 of Wilson Road in Landing, and charged him with petit larceny.The charges stem from an investigation that revealed that Stull stole a $41.49 Irwin Unibit from Knapp & Schlappi. Officers were alerted by employees of the store on Monday that a white male had taken an item without paying for it.Officers used security camera footage to identify Stull and secure a confession.Stull was charged with petit larceny and is scheduled to appear in Village Court at a later date.
