Eric B. Hoyt, age 16 was located and arrested by Penn Yan Police Saturday evening for a warrant out of New York Office of Children and Family Services. Hoyt had a warrant for an alleged runaway release violation. While in custody at the Police Dept., Hoyt became confrontational and fought with police. After Hoyt was taken into custody, he caused damage to property in the Police Dept. Hoyt was charged with resisting arrest and criminal mischief 3rd. Hoyt was arraigned in Penn Yan village court and remanded to Yates County Jail on bail set at $10,000/20,000
