Cooler air moves into the Finger Lakes

The large area of low pressure that has been directing the weather over the past few days is on the move.Now located to our north, this low has shifted from its position over central Canada. It has also lost a good deal of its strength. Despite its weakening, it will continue to direct a number of disturbances around its circulation.One of these disturbances moved through last night. Now located over New England, this disturbance is the strongest piece of energy on the map this morning.Two other, much weaker disturbances will impact us today. The first is already moving through this morning with a few showers and the second will touch off some showers during the afternoon. Most places will be dry at any given time and some places will not see any more rain today.Temperatures will start to cool as the southerly winds we have had turn more westerly, transporting cold air in on the back side of the parent storm. Temperatures are starting out in the 50s and will climb to near 60º by midday. However, this afternoon, temperatures should back off a few degrees as the cool air arrives.
