On Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at about 3:56 pm, members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit arrested Joshua J. Walborn, 25, of 1746 Combs Road, Ovid, New York, on charges following an investigation into the sale and possession of heroin in the Seneca Falls and Waterloo communities. Sheriff’s Investigators, with assistance from the Uniform Road Patrol, executed a traffic stop on a vehicle on Route 318 in the Town of Tyre. Sheriff’s Investigators seized 28 baggies of heroin, a quantity of Suboxone, a quantity of Marijuana, and 101 hypodermic needles from the vehicle. It is further alleged that Walborn intended to sell some of the heroin locally.Walborn was charged with the following:Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B FelonyCriminally Possessing a Hypodermic Instrument, a Class A MisdemeanorCriminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree, a Class A MisdemeanorUnlawful Possession of Marihuana, a ViolationWalborn was arraigned in the Tyre Town Court before Judge Mills and rem anded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $20,000 cash bail/$40,000 secured bond. Walborn is to reappear in the Tyre Town Court on September 26, 2014 at 8 am.The New York State Police and the Seneca Falls Police Department also assisted in the investigation.
