Victor held Canandaigua to just 56 yards rushing and Mie Wagner rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns as the Blue Devils defeated the home-standing Canandaigua Braves 23-7 on Saturday afternoon.Despite the lack of a running attack, Braves’ quarterback Mitch Schaefer was able to move the ball through the air on 8/15 passing for 121 yards. Schaefer rushed for a touchdown from 2 yards out for Canandaigua’s only score.The Victor defense was paced by Joey Carrier’s 8 tackles, 2 sacks, an interception and 2 tackles for a loss. Sam Ali’s added 3.5 tackles and 2 sacks. Carrier also ran the ball offensively for 83 yards and a touchdown.Victor improves to 2-1 on the season and travels to face Webster Schroeder next Friday night. Canandaigua falls to 1-2. The Braves will be at Wilson on Saturday at 1:30 pm.
